Comprehensive copper shielding works with the grounded anodised aluminium pickguard to create an effective Faraday cage around the electronics, helping reject unwanted electrical interference before it enters the signal.
Blue Mode remains fully hum-cancelling across all five positions. In Red Mode, the switching architecture retains hum rejection wherever possible while preserving the openness, attack and response that give split-coil voices their character.
The aim isn't absolute silence. It's something more useful: less noise, without sacrificing the sound that made you choose the setting in the first place.
